Edwin Louis Henderson, Jr. M.A.
Owner/Director
A native of "Black Beverly Hills" Los Angeles, CA. After earning a football scholarship from Westchester High School to the University of California, Berkeley and playing 3 years of college football, Edwin decided to transfer back to Southern California, where he earned his B.A. Degree in Psychology from California State University, Dominguez Hills with a minor in Sociology. In December 2017 he graduated with his Master’s degree in Leadership & Organizational Management from Azusa Pacific University.
After working for several non-profits, and gaining a great deal of non-profit management experience and knowledge in the social services industry, he later decided to branch out by founding On A Mission, Inc. in December 2003. Now, re-branded, On A Mission Youth Travel, LLC is a travel destination tour company providing educational travel for youth ages 12-17, allowing them the opportunity to explore the world and environment outside of their own.
Edwin is married to his beautiful wife of 10 years, Alicia. They have 2 children, Ariana (7), and Amara (4).
Officer Erwin Rocha
Officer Erwin Rocha has been with the Los Angeles Police Department for 18 years. During his career, he has been assigned to several specialized units. From Safer Cities, Detectives, and Community relations, officer Rocha has always found a way to incorporate the mentoring of youth in our communities.
In 2008 Officer Rocha helped start and develop The Southwest Jeopardy Boot Camp Program which subsequently became the “go to” youth intervention and diversion program for Juvenile courts and LAUSD SARB referrals. Officer Rocha also Developed a Parenting Course entitled, “Parent Formula” which he presents free of charge to schools, churches, juvenile probation, youth camps, non-profits, and any organization in need of parental counseling services. During his career with LAPD, officer Rocha has mentored and counseled thousands of families.
Officer Rocha has been partnering with On a Mission for approximately 15 years and continues to assist in all educational trips as a chaperone, logistical assistant and Mentor for the Organization.
Tiffany Moore
Tiffany has been a long standing resident of Los Angeles over 25 years. She is a CSULB alum, History major, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Education at ASU. She is currently teaching middle school Social Studies in Las Vegas, NV and her summers are spent as a Site Director for a non-profit in Oakland, CA. She has worked with On A Mission for 13 years as a Program Director and developed the Leading Ladies After School Program as well as being a chaperone for educational field trips.
When Tiffany is not working you can catch her at the beach, movies, bowling, and traveling as much as possible. She is excited to have the opportunity to chaperone another field trip with OAM and continue to be a mentor to the youth of Los Angeles.
Beverly Hooks, MSW
Born and raised in the inner city of Los Angeles, began working as a Children's Social Worker in 2004 in Los Angeles County where she has worked for the last 12 years. She obtained her Master's Degree in Social Work from California State University Bakersfield in 2009 while working full time and in 2013 she founded a non-profit known as Heaven Sent Sisters. She founded HSS to continue to pursue her dream of being a positive influence in the lives of others and to be a mentor to young girls in need of guidance, love and support.
Chief Robert Williams
Robbie Williams served 25-years with the Hawthorne Police Department and is currently the Chief of Public Safety at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. Prior to his career in Law Enforcement, Robbie worked as a Mental Health Social Worker at Portals Mental Health Rehabilitation Center in Los Angeles, California. Robbie remains active at addressing national issues as a community dialogue facilitator and co-creator of Coffee with A Cop Inc. one of the largest and fastest growing community policing dialogue programs in the nation.
Officer Tamika Bush
Officer Tamika Bush has been with the Los Angeles Police Department for 7 years. She is currently assigned to Southwest Division, Community Relations Office, as a Youth Service Officer. Prior to becoming an Officer, in college at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, she was involved in various youth programs geared to providing underrepresented and disadvantaged youth in the community collegiate opportunities. Programs such as the RISE (Residential Intensive Summer Education) Program, The Summer Bridge Program, and The Diversity Ambassador Program continued to foster her dedication to youth and education. As a Youth Service Officer, Officer Bush continues to “pay it forward” as a mentor to youth in the community.
Randal Gory II M.A.
Hello everybody my name is Randal Gory II and I'm from San Francisco California. I'm married to my wife of 6 years and we have 4 children together. I graduated with my bachelors Degree in Communication Studies from Sacramento State University, and I received my Masters degree in Sports Management from University of San Francisco. I am passionate about education and I look forward to having the opportunity to impact the educational futures of the younger generation.
Sierra Moore
Sierra is from upstate New York. With over a decade of experience in higher education, she's focused on financial aid and finance, helping students navigate the complexities of funding their education. Outside of work, she has a passion for traveling with her 15 yr old daughter and exploring new cultures, which often inspires my creative side. She also enjoys painting, and finding joy in expressing herself through art.
Joycelyn (Joyce) Walker
Joycelyn (Joyce) Walker resides in Los Angeles, CA and boasts a career spanning over twenty years with the Hawthorne Police Department, where she has held various roles, including Records and Administration. As of 2019 she was assigned to the Detective Bureau as the Administrative Assistant. Joyce has been an active board member of the Power Project since its establishment in 2012 and assumed the role of treasurer in 2014, dedicating over a decade of her efforts to the organization. Joyce has a passion for people and service, which has aided her greatly and successfully throughout her career. Joyce holds a bachelor degree in Public Administration and is currently pursuing an MBA in human resource management. Joyce enjoys traveling and has been to over seven different countries. She is a mother and grandmother of two and an active member of her church in Inglewood, California
